All I have to say about the food her is amazing!! We had the porterhouse and lobster bisque . Everything was mouthwatering . This place has to be one of the best restaurants in all of Disneyworld
we were looking for the best steaks available at disney world! after reading various reviews we were led to the yachtsman steakhouse! we made our reservations 3 months in advance. even though there was no reservation availability there were still plenty of tables open. the staff did a great job of serving our table. our waiter did an amazing job especially in capturing the attention of our 5 and 2 year olds. the waiter made some fine recommendations too. we ordered bisque soup for appetizer and it was great! we ordered a 16 oz prime ribeye steak with a separate side of asparagus. also, new york strip steak with a side of fries and two orders of child cheese pasta. and since we were on vacation we ordered a chocolate-peanut cake in addition to my birthday dessert provided by the yachtsman steakhouse. i love steak! but my ribeye had a point reyes blue cheese butter on top and i was not thrilled about it. honestly, i would rate my ribeye about a 4 star. but everything else about the yachtsman steakhouse was 5 star. the ambiance was casual. our table did not have linen cloth and lacked in interior appeal. but i was okay with it. i did like all the wood used inside the restaurant. our family of 4 had a great time! our bill before tip was $180. i would do it again!

Oh my...what a treasure! If Disney aims to epitomize extraordinary service and top-drawer food in their signature restaurants, they pass with flying colors at the Yachtsman. As the name would suggest, the restaurant is located in the Yacht Club Resort, and as such the theme and feel to the restaurant is nautical with the feeling you're inside a ship rather than on land. The colors and decor are simple yet effective, mostly light wood tones with splashes of subdued blues, whites and yellows. As you enter, there is a display where various meats are being hung and going through the aging process. Our waiter, Barry, was outstanding - very professional, knowledgable, and friendly. He explained the menu fully and always made sure we were taken care of. The menu isn't too big (which for me is a sign of a good restaurant) but they had a great selection. The bread basket contained pull-apart onion rolls which were out of this world, I can eat just those and be perfectly fine. I stared with the cheese ravioli appetizer which contained a number of different elements such as pistachios and a bolognese sauce, I didn't think it would go together that well but worked. For my main I had the NY strip; very juicy and cooked to my liking. For a side I had a white-cheddar baked potato, but our server mentioned that all sides were interchangeable. For dessert I had the chocolate peanut cake - rich but delicious. The Yachtsman was truly an experience - the food and service were top drawer and I would definitely recommend for a special treat.

This is not your ordinary "Disney World" dining experience. My husband and I went here as part of our honeymoon. We were treated to champagne and appetizer "palette cleansers" aka heaven. They were an assortment of tiny gourmet chocolates, ranging from peanut butter flavored to pistachios. The bread and garlic truffles that they serve before dinner is reason enough to go here, but let me get to the meat. We both had the filet and it was cooked to perfection and easily the best steak we had ever eaten. The service was impeccable; we never felt rushed or looked around for a server. The desserts were equally amazing and included a peanut butter cake and creme brule. We were also presented with souvenir menus, wrapped up and tied with a bow. We made reservations again for our next Disney visit in October. Forget Mickey, bring out the steak!

Before our visit, I was surprised that the rating for this steakhouse was only 3.5 stars when I had heard such amazing things through people I know.. but then as I dived deeper into the low star reviews, I see that the food wasn't the reason. We somehow scored reservations on NYE (after a few hours of repetitive refreshing of the reservation portion of our My Disney app) and I couldn't had had a better last meal of 2014. Our server was Yun and she was fantastic. She was efficient, funny, unobtrusive and had excellent recommendations. We heard fantastic things about the bread basket.. and I was thinking.. honestly, how good can it be? Umm... good. REALLY good. The onion rolls, with the Vermont sea salted butter and a roasted garlic glove? Yeah, I'll have 10, thanks. We shared the caesar salad for a starter, at Yun's recommendation. It was outstanding. I am a pretty big fan of the tableside caesar at Bull & Bear but this took the cake. The dressing was amazing- and it also included big pieces of shaved parmesan, homemade croutons, proscuitto and candied lemon (Which was outstanding by the way... why haven't more people thought of this?!?!) For the entree, we decided to share the 32oz porterhouse for 2. They age the steaks in house and this was a 21 day aging process. It came out sizzling on a skillet, cooked to a perfect medium rare. Crispy on the outside and unbelievable tender on the inside. It was accompanied by the best caramelized onions I've ever had (Yun said it was a combination of 7 or 8 types of onions), creamed Gruyere spinach and mushrooms. Incredible. It also came with some of the best potatoes au gratin I've ever had. (And I've eaten a lotta PAG in my time) We were way too full for dessert, but capped the night off with delicious espresso (to follow up the bottle of wine we drank) All around, a wonderful experience. Yes, some people were underdressed which annoys me as well. Who goes out to eat at a nice restaurant in a hoodie?! But it is Disney after all.... However, the bottom line was that the food was so good that I don't care if I had to dine next to a bunch of hairy guys in Speedos.

If you want a great steak experience and don't want to venture off property, this is your place. Sure, the steaks are expensive ($50 range) but my ribeye beat the pants off the steak I had at Capital Grille only a month prior. What keeps it from a five star experience is that it doesn't have a fancy steakhouse atmosphere (it has basically the same atmosphere as the resort's other cheaper offerings), and it'd be nice if they enforced a dress code as my wife and I dressed up for the occasion but we were next to a shorts-wearing family pecking away at their cell phones all night. The majority of the restaurants at Disney (98%) are casual so it'd be nice to have a place to go to where you're required to dress up just a little. FYI, the warm onion rolls are the BOMB!

Top steakhouse experience at Di$ney prices. $500 for a family of six! It does feel like an intimate get away after the hustle and bustle of the parks. Food was very, very good. Had artisanal cheese plate as appetizer which was the highlight of the meal. Should have had a side other than the fries which came with my NY Strip. Not sure what I was thinking? Perhaps that a $59 steak would have magical fries to accompany it? French press coffee after dinner was exceptional. Disney really needs to partner with a craft brewer or two to open up choices for beer lovers at their nicer restaurants. Once again, a disappointing selection here. Yuengling and Sam Adams aren't craft beers! Service was adequate but not nearly as attentive as if expect for a restaurant at this price range. I think Barry worked hard but had too many tables.

It could have been the heat and the crowds and general food discomfort from inside the park but this restaurant totally made my belly happy. The atmosphere is slower which is such a good contrast to the hysteria of the parks, feel free to take your time enjoying the baked garlic with butter, sourdough and onion rolls. Service can get constrained during busy times because they have a single waiter/waitress per about 3-4 tables. Smaller parties fare better than larger parties. Service is generally good and meets expectations when paying $50 for a steak. The food was expectedly top notch and was a fond memory amidst the sea of Carnival food inside the park.

Exceeded our expectations. This was our second visit in two years. The filet was cooked perfectly. Our server even went as far as to order a grilled cheese from the restaurant next door for my son. Lu Lu our server was a perfect example of Disney magic

Great steaks on the Disney complex. I would say this is the best steakhouse on Disney property. They have their own dry aging room and it is nice to view various steaks in the aging process. The temperature of the steak is cooked to perfection. Awesome bread with the meal too.

Great bar! The bar menu is limited but the bartender let me order a chicken sandwich with fries and it was perfect. They have a great selection of wines by the glass and lots of beer options. I'm definitely a fan of the bar. Probably won't ever eat in the dining room.

A few days ago my mother and I went to Yachtsman Steakhouse. I've been here on 2 previous occasions and I am telling you I enjoy it more each time I return. First, let me say I am all about any place where they allow you to view the steaks before you order them. To me, this is the sign of a high quality steakhouse. They are so confident of the cut and quality of their meat, they want you to view it in the raw. Secondly, this place is SUPER pricey. If you don't have a dining plan, tables in wonderland, or some other type of discount expect your bill to well over $100 for 2 people. So, we started with the sangria. I had the white and my mother had the red. I usually love a white sangria, but this one had tons of raspberry and I actually preferred the red today. The bread service here is sooooo good. They have this Vermont butter with sea salt that is crazy good. I could just eat the butter. No, seriously, I really love butter and this butter is amazing. The trouble is they also have this fresh garlic and I love garlic too! I don't know whether to put butter on my bread or garlic! So, guess what, I put both on my bread. They had 2 types of rolls. I preferred the crusty roll. My mother preferred the soft onion roll. For appetizers, my mother had the crab cakes. She felt this was a large portion and was very much wishing that I ate seafood and would've split them with her. She didn't think they would save so she ate both and then ended up taking most of her dinner home because of it. She said they had a bit of a kick to them. I don't know how much I would read into that though. My mother has no tolerance for spice/heat at all. I had The Land green salad. I presume that The Land means that my lettuce came from The Land and I have been on the ride enough times to know that they do grow that type of lettuce there. This was not the salad my server recommended, but it was totally my type of salad. It was so pretty I almost didn't want to eat it. It had this wonderful goat cheese on it and a green goddess dressing that was just the perfect touch of tang. Yummy! It was also a very good size and we could've/should've split it. So for dinner my mother had the cornflake crusted fried chicken. She asked if it was sacrilege to order chicken at a steakhouse, and b/c I wanted to try the chicken I told her no. I love cornflake crusted anything and this did not disappoint. There were 3 chicken medallions crusted in cornflakes with this dijon drizzle and it was just delicious. The spoon bread that came with it was so good that I ate it all. I told mom she could take my potato home cause I was going to eat that spoon bread. OMG. Spoon bread can be difficult to get the right texture. I've had some that is too creamy, too gritty, too dry, too much like cornbread, but this was just right, and it has just the subtlest of kicks. I had the Prime New York Strip. It was a cooked a perfect medium with lots of pink and just had the most amazing flavor. It came with a peppercorn sauce that was really lovely and a twice baked potato. The potato was very good, but by far and away the least exciting thing I ate. Now, this is the first time that I've been here that sides were included. Years, ago it was a la carte. I like that you get a side with your steak now instead of ordering one for the table to share because I always found it difficult to agree with the table on one side. We did not get dessert as there was nothing on the dessert menu that struck me as something I had to have. However, our server, who was amazing btw brought out a little sampler of dessert that included a passion fruit jelly, macaroon, and bananas foster truffle that just made the perfect end to a truly glorious meal.

Yatchsman steakhouse is by far the best steakhouse on Disney property. Le Cellier is absolutely no comparison. We tried the ribeye, scallops, filet - all were cooked and seasoned to perfection. The flavor of the beef was on another level. What really made our dinner special though was the service. We arrived 30mins after our reservation and right at closing. No one gave us a hard time from the front to the back. Our waitress Susan was amazing. She didnt rush us at all even when we were the last patrons and made sure everyone enjoyed their meal. She even went above and beyond to get us bacon bits from the restaurant next door after we requested for it. I hope the managent at Yatchsman read these posts. I am definitely coming here every Disneyworld trip (fortunately or unfortunately in this case, I live in Hawaii so I cant dine here as much as I would love to..)

I'm just gonna be upfront and say that Yachtsman was an utter disappointment. It was probably the worse meal my wife and I had on our week-long honeymoon at WDW. Can't believe we spent our last 2 dinning points on this place. Could have had 2 more awesome meals! What a waste! Things were just weird from the beginning. We had made a reservation months before but we still waited about 20 min before being seated. From there, it took another 20 min for our orders to be taken and then a whooping 40 min before our food finally arrived. We were starving! There was a table of 4 sitting next to us (who were seated after us) and they were done with their food by the time we got ours. Really?!? When our food finally arrived, it was disappointing. We ordered the New York Strip and the Filet Migon but both lacked flavors. The sear was only so-so. The "twice-baked potatoes" were super oily and once again, bland. For the dishes as a whole, it almost felt like the dishes were left on the counter for a while before being served. I have a huge appetite and have no problem chowing down steaks but this time, I didn't even feel like finishing b/c everything was so bland. Yuck. I wasn't even full. And then comes the dessert. Oh boy. The waiter totally didn't know the dessert menu at all btw. We ordered the Sorbet Trio and the Yachtsman Sundae and guess what? Both came with PEANUTS sprinkled on top! We've indicated on our reservation AND in-person at the beginning of the meal that my wife is allergic to peanuts. I guess they didn't bother to care. The sorbet was also a "duo" instead of a "trio" in terms of flavors. What a joke! The best thing about the dinner was the onion rolls they served at the beginning. Best onion rolls we've ever had. We each had about 5 of them while waiting and after the meal. Our experience at Yachtsman is completely different from the rest of our Disney experience. Save yourself some trouble and stay away from this place. There are so many other good restaurants to choose from.

My wife and I absolutely loved this place. We shared a great cheeseplate for an appetizer and then chowed down on some great steaks. She had the filet and I had the prime rib. Both of us couldn't have been happier with our choices. Wash that down with some great creme brule and we were in heaven. Our waiter David was so good too. His help and attitude made the dining experience even better. Top marks to everyone there!
This is a great restaurant with great service. I enjoyed the New York Strip almost as much as the fresh-baked gluten-free bread! Such a treat! I would definitely eat here again.

I am a foodie, fine-dining fanatic, Michelin-Star snob. And this place far exceeded my expectations despite not having had a huge hype about it. I am not a meat lover, and prefer seafood over steak any day. But this restaurant presented not only excellent meat but also seafood dishes that were well-prepared and perfectly presented in an understatedly elegant ambiance. It may not be Victoria and Albert's - a MUST try for foodies - but it is an incredible restaurant at Disney World that is an excellent choice for those who have more than one night of dining to spare.

WOW!!!! This was amazing, the best meal of the week, hands down. This is a traditional American steakhouse with a nautical flair. The wife had the surf and turf, the lobster was perfectly prepared, not too chewy and very flavorful. The dry aged New York was very tasty. They hand cut and trim on site and have a beautiful aging locker in the lobby. The service was fantastic, our server Brandon was fantastic. Perfectly timed for the family! If I had to choose one place in all of Disney World, this would be it.

We made reservations at the Yachtsman based on a recommendation from a friend. We waited about 10 minutes before being seated which is not surprising for Disney, but we were sad to see there was not a convenient bar for us to wait at or grab drinks in the meantime. Our seats were great, definitely can't complain about our prime table. But then we waited...and waited. It was probably about another 15 minutes before we were even given water. Suzan was our waitress and honestly, pray that you do not have her as a server. All other servers were hopping between their tables - in the time it took Suzan to arrive with ice water, the table next to us had seen their waiter 3 times just as a check-in. At that point we were worried that it would be a longgg night. When she brought the water we decided to just order our meals. She said she would be right back with our bread - but we knew better and we were right. Thankfully, the food helped bring my rating up to a 3! For appetizers we had the lobster bisque and my husband had the ceasar salad - this course was probably our favorite. Both were very delicious and a welcome start to our meal. For my entree I choose the Halibut - it was slightly overcooked but overall a light but fulfilling meal. My husband got the ribeye and a side of the truffle mac and cheese. His steak was cooked correctly and it even came with bone marrow...yum! However the mac and cheese was SO incredibly salty! Because of how slow Suzan was, we opted out of dessert.

Ask for Ricardo! From appetizers and wine to steak that melts like butter - Ricardo served up one of the most entertaining meals I have ever had. The atmosphere was romantic yet comfortable and the wine list was exquisite.

Melt in your mouth steak, Flavorful sides, and attentive waitstaff. What a great place for a romantic dinner (but families will not feel out of place either). View of the resorts pool and Boardwalk was in the distance. Writing this review two days later but still have wonderful memories of this dining experience. Still remember the butcher cutting up steaks as we walked in the door. Somehow the restaurant even made that process looking appealing!

Yachtsman had to be one of the best meals we had during our stay in Disney. Service, atmosphere and food were all top notch. This restaurant is expensive, but so is everything at the over-priced Disney properties. My NY strip was cooked perfectly and was one of the best steaks I've had in a while. Definitely get the peekytoe crab-stuffed donuts appetizer...ridiculously good.

I had a couple problems with this restaurant which could have been avoided by not only myself but also the waiter. The first thing is that I was sitting with 8 other people. We had a waiter that had 4 other tables, which means we had to flag him down several times throughout the meal because he was too busy. When we are tipping over $100, we shouldn't feel like we are constantly bothering the waiter to bring us more drinks, or to remind him that someone at the table didn't have food. He also brought out the wrong wine and just several other things that showed that he had too many tables that he couldn't handle. So the food. Everyone else seemed to enjoy their food. The lobster bisque was really spicy and just ok. Because I'm pregnant I had to order my steak medium well. I should have never ordered a fillet and that's my fault, but I thought they would have butterflied it. Instead it came out charred which was awful. The dessert was so disappointing I wanted to cry. I had cheesecake and it was so small. It was probably a square inch of cheesecake and a tablespoon of ice cream on the side. The reason I am giving three stars is because everyone else besides two others had their steaks cooked how they wanted (two came out really rare) and the other appetizers were really good.

Used to be one of our favorites at Disney for a nice steak dinner. This visit was somewhat disappointing as the steaks and lamb chops were cooked to order but they were just all too salty. Wait staff was very friendly but unfortunately this visit was not the most memorable.

Oscar, our waiter, was amazing. He was funny, friendly, and knowledgable. He recommended his favorites, and highlighted others that we should consider trying. Even after the kitchen had made a mistake, Oscar quickly made sure the situation was handled promptly. While we all agreed it wasn't the best steak we've had, it was certainly up there. We look forward to coming back again!

The last time I was here was in 1999 when - from memory - it was superb. On a recent visit I was pretty underwhelmed. With the Disney dining plan you now find that pretty much every restaurant is full of kids. Nothing wrong with kids but when you've finally got baby-sitters for yours you don't want to sit next to a dozen others at a top-end restaurant. Other than that the food was fine but no more. The starters were pretty small but tasty and the steaks were a good size but way too salty. It was OK and for this price I think you should be getting way more than OK.

While the food is prepared wonderfully, the entree price tags are above what they need to be, especially since there are comparable menus nearby, the appetizers are unusual and terrific and in contrast are remarkably fair priced. To start off, I own a DVC and am at WDW at least once a year, and since my wife and I don't have kids, we aren't slaves to chicken nuggets and mickey waffles each day, although there's nothing at all wrong with a Mickey waffle. This past week we got to try Yachtsman for the first time, and having grown up in my family's meat market I was looking forward to it. To begin, Yachtsman is one of the few WDW restaurants that has a dress code, which is great. It invites the tank tops and trucker caps crowd to dine elsewhere. As far as the service, its about the best I've experienced. While the hosting and seating teams are young, they're energetic, professional and friendly. The waitstaff are clearly professionals, a service provider occupation that is almost extinct I'm afraid. We sat at "Thomas from RI's" table. A sharp and quick witted waiter who was as good with the menu and some service flair as he was with a good natured barb and joke to keep us laughing. For appetizers we had some terrific surprises, a crab donut being the standout. Its exactly what it sounds like, its a powdered donut containing peekytoe crab vs jelly. It was as good as it was unusual, but maybe not everyone's cup of tea, but roll the dice and you might be pleasantly surprised. Sweet, then salty, then spicy, was pretty great. We also had an amazing charcuterie baord with amazing diversity, boar and bacon terrine being the star here, but coupled with an artisanal cheese plate, it was a great group of appetizers. The chef really seems to be devoted to stepping out from the crowd in re to menu creation. Here's where it goes off the rail a bit. Ordered a 12-oz NY Strip, rare, basically opting this cut because it came with a white cheddar twice baked potato. The steak itself was cooked PERFECTLY, rare has become a concept vs a standard in the past with restaurants withdrawing from risk of lawsuits and such, not here, rare is rare and they did it perfect. Unfortunately the peppercorn brandy sauce was incredibly salty (and I usually move towards salty side of scale), and the twice baked potatoes, which I really looked forward to, seemed overcooked or reheated as they were very dry and considerably smaller that I hoped and I was really disappointed. This particular trip I also had NY strips at Captain's Grille, Le Cellier, and Flying Fish, and Flying Fish really offered the standout NY Strip, hands down. A steak at the fish restaurant, you heard me right.
The Disney Meal Plan brings people like my Family into a restaurant like this. We are the definition of traveling yokels and we usually utilize buffets or places where you can fill up well for what you pay. I,however, like to enjoy nicer things now and then and since I plan our trips, we entered their doors Here is a little Pre-food bedtime story-- we were at Hollywood Studios and we had a 6:00 Pm appointment. We left the entrance at 5:55 Pm. I subconsciously thought " we have to take a boat don't we?" I did not act on that thought though and think in my brilliance that I will look on the bus placement sign that shows where the buses that frequent the certain hotels will be to get to the Yachtclub resort. I did not see if on the sign, so my persistence tells me to go look at every single stop location in the massive circle where the buses are. I make the whole 360º and then go to the boats where it said, to Yachtclub, that's the ticket! got on boat 6:05pm, arrived 6:15 Pm. Got the entrance and went down the winding hallways until we got there. We had expected the other had of our party to be there already checked in and waiting for us, nope they had the same issue with not going to the boats and they arrived at 6:40 Pm. The hostess did not mind at all, she said happens all the time and they would still have a table ready for us. The inside does not look like a classy place. I have been to many country, boat, yacht, etc clubs and they usually go all out with fancy chairs, huge chandeliers, and others. The Yachtsman did not. Which is fine. Food; We started by mentioning that we are on the meal plan. The waiter Eric (great name) told us how the whole thing works and he brought out Evian waters with chalices for us and then samplers of meats and cheeses. Then we ordered the Appetizers. We had dumplings, cheese platter, meat platter, and the mussels and clams. They were all really good. I had personally gotten the dumplings. They had a great sausage inside. What I did not like unfortunately was that after the first bite of the dumpling, sausage fat would spurt out and the garnish was terrible. This is just my thoughts though, some people will love it. Food drips, that is life. For the main entree, we had ordered a NY strip, 28 oz Porterhouse(what I got), surf and Turf, and the prime ribeye. There was no Complaints here, this food was what food is intended to be perfected into. Mine had minimal burnage and was cooked just the way that I liked. The other steaks were great. My brother did say that his surf and turf was impressive but small and its not a tail as he thought. The augrattin that came with my porterhouse and the NY strip was square and was rather dried out. The fries were excellent that come with the Porterhouse. For Desserts, I got the Sundae, and the rest of the lot got creme brule (sp?) and chocolate pretzel cake. These were all awesome. The Sundae has nuts on it, which I am allergic but I just picked them off on to my napkin. That was my pay back for not including that little detail about the preparation. I should have said something. The Check of $400 something came and it was all taken care of on the food plan. If we did not have the meal plan, we would have had a very different tune. The water and sample plate we were given were not complimentary, they were all included and we did not ask for them. The prices are very high for what you get though in reality. You are not paying for the ambiance. But we did not actually pay the bill. Here is where you are going to hate me, the suggested tip was $80, we did not leave 80, not even half. We are a family on vacation, we did not want to go broke from all the tips Disney wanted. tripadvisor.com/ShowUser…

So we came from Arizona and were highly Disappointed with the service. We made reservations and got in in a timely manner however after being seated waited at least 3-5 minutes before the waitress even greeted the table. After she did come and took our orders we waited about 40-45 minutes to get the food. In the mean time the bread was amazing! Also my dad was out of his drink which she refilled however the water had no ice so she brought out a paper cup of ice after sitting the refills on a ledge while she served a non automatic tip table their wine. Out of the 7 people who ordered 2 had cold chicken and three of the four steaks were a little on the rare side and were ordered medium rare. We had asked for ranch and never got it and after she walked by about 3 times finally remembered to bring slat and pepper. The food was good I wouldn't say it was the most amazing thing I ever had. Oh the most annoying part of it all was they enforced the dress code of no men wearing hats howver the women in tank tops and flip flops were welcomed. Pretty annoyin and sexist if you ask me However I have to say at the end of the night they did bring a complimentary desert for my sisters birthday and a cute card as well.
Phenomenal! Have been here a few times already and each time is better than the last. I have gone as part of a small party and other times as part of a larger party- with and without reservations; the restaurant has accommodated us every time without issue. I will say, food takes a little bit as of course, with a place like this it's made to order so one needs to have a bit of patience but it is very well worth the wait. There's nothing on the menu that our party has had that's ever left us disappointed. We visit Disney often (annual pass holders) and while we can't with each visit we do try to fit a dinner out here as many times as possible...very good!

we loved this place so much that we switched our reservation on our last night to here instead of flying fish (our usual tradition). the first time we went we both got the surf and turf which came out perfectly! the popovers are what really got me though - you can seriously stuff yourself before your appetizer comes out if you're not careful. they also give you roasted garlic to spread on your popover instead of butter which made the flavor even more delicious. get the mango smoothie - it is so refreshing especially with such a heavy meal! the second time we went we were a bit disappointed. the service and food went down in quality even though only three days had passed since our last visit. our steaks came out cold and we had to wait so long for our server to come check on us to tell her. we decided against sending the food back since we were already full from the rest of our meal, but felt that 1) steaks should not come out cold and 2) the server shouldn't take 15 minutes to come back and check to see if you're food is okay. i'd come back in the future, but probably would just eat popovers and an appetizer since the quality of food seems to be inconsistent. if we had only gone the first time i would have given it 5 stars, but with the second visit the rating definitely came down a bit based off our experience.

This is an excellent restaurant at Walt Disneyworld's Yacht Club Resort. Service was excellent!!!!! When you walk in the restaurant you can see through the glass the butcher chopping and cutting and preparing meat, it is sooo neat! I highly recommend reservations! This place is perfect for a romantic dinner for two or a nice family dinner. I totally recommend!

This was our first time having dinner at this place. The food was really good I should say very good. We had: Caesar salad Tomato app Prime rib med It was all delicious
Who da thunk you could get great steak at Disney World? The best porterhouse and rack of lamb I have ever had. I have been to lots of steak restaurants and the food is dynamite. The service isn't as "magical" as it could be but with the setting and the food, it is wonderful, however, expensive.

Great service, food and overall experience. The hostess gave us great information in their "prime" steak as she showed us the butcher cutting the meat. And then showed and explained the dessert table as we walked to our table. Our server was very knowledgable and proffesional. She was very proactive during the entire experience. The came out perfectly with great flavor. I highly recommend this for a special fine dining experience.

I wouldn't even waste my time of even going to this place. We were on our honeymoon and we only had a party of two. We walked by the dining room and there was about 7-10 open tables with plenty of people who were UNDERDRESSED! Here is there policy: Men may wear khakis, slacks, jeans or dress shorts and collared shirts. Sport coats are optional. Women may wear Capri pants, skirts, dresses, jeans or dress shorts. There was plenty of people in t-shirts and sweatpants! My wife and I were more dressed up than anyone in the place. First we go to the reservation area and ask for a table of two at around 6:45pm and this place opens at 5 pm. The girls at the desk were highly unprofessional and rude! They didn't even ask if I wanted to stay or reserve a table. They said come back at 9, well what happens when there is plenty of people ahead of me? How do they know who is first? There was plenty of two person tables, so whats the problem? Is it because we're young? I have never been to a high class restaurant and treated with such disrespect. I'm from NYC and the steakhouses there are 10x more busy and you can walk in and get a table within 15-30 mins not 3 HOURS?!? I left a message asking for a manager to call me.... Still waiting! Don't even bother calling because apparently they are too busy even to pick up the phone which is completely ridiculous when the girls are too busy talking at the front desk. Unprofessional staff and don't even bother going here for a over priced meal with terrible service! Plenty of better restaurants in epcot area. I guess they didn't need or want my money because they think young people can't afford meals or something. Oh well, it's their loss because now my one star rating reflects the terrible treatment I received without even eating there. No THANKS!

We had a change in dinner plans, and the Yachtsman was available for a late dinner reservation on a Wed night, so we took a chance after seeing the Christmas Lights at Disney's Hollywood Studios. This was our first time eating at the Boardwalk which was an easy walk from the Swan/Dolphin hotel we were staying at. I agree that it would be nice if there was a nice bar area to have a drink while waiting for your table, but once seated, we were attended to quite nicely. The heirloom tomato appetizer was excellent and highly recommended when it is offered. The salads were good too. The filet mignon was quite good and seasoned perfectly. The creamed spinach side was overly creamy for me, but others seemed to enjoy it and large enough side to share with 3-4 people. The brussel sprouts with bacon was a nice side to share with the table as well. They have an extensive wine menu to select from with half bottles and by the glass offerings. We were too full to try any of the tempting desserts, but they sounded good (maybe next time).

We visit WDW Resorts yearly and the Yachtsmen Steakhouse never disappoints. Next time you visit, sit with server Bill from Massachusetts. A great fine dining experience is more than excellent food, it's also excellent service. Bill exceeded our expectations with his knowledge of the food. He is clearly passionate and that made the experience superb. I hope that the management know what a gem he is.

There is no questioning quality when Disney gets it right! Yachtsman Steakhouse has always been one of Disney's pride and joys. Up there with California Grill, Yachtsman Steakhouse tirelessly delivers a quality experience from start to finish. Yachtsman is a versatile dining experience, working with whatever you come in with; romantic dinner for two, business meeting for 15+, or even a small gathering of friends/family. While family is preached by Disney, this restaurant does offers a children's menu, but leave the kids at home for this one. Baby sitting services are available for guests of the resort. I started off with a light and creamy garden green salad. Boston Bibb (hydroponic butter lettuce grown in Epcot's Land Pavilion), sliced peaches, sheets of candied ham, and an almond cream. Finding the right amount of dressing for a salad is like cooking an omelet to Baveuse- just the right consistency. The almond cream was a first for me and gave the dish a refreshing and satisfying crunch. The candied ham added a sweetness to the flatness (not a bad thing) of the almond cream. Next up, an 18oz (yes, I said 18oz!) Kansas City Strip. Fact: The difference between a New York Strip and a Kansas City Strip? The latter has the bone still in it, giving it the extra weight, and providing more flavor. Both are still marbled. I substituted the truffle fries for the potato au gratin. Chef recommends med/rare, which is how I order my beef, and, of course, it came out to perfection. (Side note: Let's take a moment to appreciate the men who work the grill. Yachtsmen's foyer cleverly walks its guest past the grill. These men spend a shift standing over a hellaciously hot grill. To protect themselves from the scorch, they wear several layers, even wrapping their midsection in towels.) To put it plain and simple, the steak was delicious. Few things give me greater satisfaction than a sharp steak knife effortlessly cutting through the center of my beef. The chimichurri, secretly the main reason for ordering this meal, was strong on the garlic. You would not have been able to stop me from pouring it all over the top of my steak. The au gratin were a treat. I have struggled finding a good recipe/restaurant that serves them to my liking. Usually they are weighed down and too heavy for my digestion, but, while I won't call these babies a "light alternative" I will admit the texture of them weren't as heavy as previously sampled au gratin. The waitress beamed and gave an approving "wink" when I ordered them. A sign I had made the right decision. Chocolate-pretzel cake with salted carmel ice cream ended this three course meal of ecstasy. The resort has an onsite bakery and having been in there myself I implore you to always save room for desert when dining at Yachtsman Steakhouse. Everything, including the salted carmel ice cream, is made in house. The service exceeded expectations. We were a group of nearly 20 split into two tables and must have had no less than three servers taking care of us all night. Anticipating drink refills, and replacing used silverware is just doing your job, but this team of career servers answered every question I threw at them, made recommendations based on my tastes, and even joked around in-between services. Red meats are on my "once every six months" list. With something as special as a steak dinner, why waste it on mediocrity? Yachtsman will please everyone from the out-of-town tourist, to locals who typically avoid Disney dining.

In the past, this was a family favorite, but the service was off and slow. The steaks were ok but not exceptional. There are other Disney property restaurants I'd rather visit in the future. A bit of a disappointment.

My wife and I tried this place for dinner since we were staying on the property and just got in earlier that afternoon. We had a 7:55 reservation and wasn't seated until around 8:15. They said that they were running late. The steaks hanging in the window looked good and when we were finally led to our seat the hostess took us by to explain that their specialty is the New York Strip, which they age and cut on property. It is also a prime cut, but I'm not sure if the filet and ribeye are. Oscar was our waiter and he did a great job. We started with the lobster bisque. It wasn't too bad, but I've certainly had better. I think it should have had more cream to it and maybe some sherry. We then shared the seared scallops. They were grilled well but over salted. For our entrees, I had the New York strip, medium rare. Unfortunately, it really did not taste as good as I had hoped. For a prime piece of meat, it didn't seem well marbled and there really was no flavor to it. Not sure if they forgot to season it but something would have been nice, even if it was just salt and pepper. My wife had the filet and it at least tasted better than mine. Better sear, better flavor. We had also ordered a side of sauteed mushrooms, but they forgot it so we ended up canceling it. I was definitely disappointed with the meal and likely won't be dining there again. It's such a shame because it has such good potential.

We have eaten here several times in the past for special celebrations and usually had a satisfactory experience; however, after our Valentine's Day experience I doubt we'll ever go back. We had a reservation several weeks in advance and arrived on time. There were several people ahead of us in line to check in and when we got to the hostess stand the hostess never said a word or looked up, just kept us waiting about 5 minutes before looking up, asked my husband his name and made a remark about his simple name and told us there would be a 20 to 30 minute wait for our table. After 40 minutes and, noticing several parties had been seated who came in after we did, my husband checked with her again and she told him, oh, sorry, we seated someone else at your table by mistake! Let me add here that she seemed to be really nice to young people and treated older couples with contempt (we're in our early 60's). Once we were finally seated it was very late and we were very upset with how we had been treated. No manager to be seen anywhere, no apology for anything or any attempt to make up for poor treatment. Our waiter, Ricardo, was pleasant but disappeared for long periods and we had to ask several times for our water to be refilled. By the time we finished the restaurant had pretty much emptied out and it was after 10:00. We have traveled the world and eaten in wonderful restaurants and judge our dining experience by how welcome we are made to feel, the quality of service and lastly, the food. Yachtsman has lovely food but failed miserably on the other important areas! For a very expensive meal on a special occasion, go somewhere else such as the Flying Fish Cafe. . . We've never had a bad experience there. We won't be returning to the Yachtsman Steakhouse.

Let me start by saying I have had great times at other Disney restaurants with amazing service and food, but yachtsman's steakhouse makes me want to rethink my whole way of thinking about Disney upscale dinning. My wife and I were celebrating our three year anniversary and wanted a nice romantic meal, this is not what we got as when we are sat it is in the back of the restaurant next to the server station with nothing but walls on all sides of us. Let me start by saying the food was average at best, the service on the other hand was some of the worst I ever had. My server Barbara was just terrible. We started by sitting down to find both our wine glasses were dirty, after about five minutes of sitting we finally were greeted, At this time my wife and I were still looking at the wine list for the bottle we were planning on buying, when we asked for some water to start ten minutes later she came back with our water. The table next to us was sat after us and were greeted and were given water by their waiter in the amount of time we were waiting of for Barbara to come and greet us. When she did final get our order we were wait a long time for a cheese plate which should not take long since it's a cold app. While we are eating our drinks go empty several times and are only refilled upon us requesting or refilling the glasses ourselves. So instead of waiting for the refills I ordered a bottle of Pellegrino to save time which would help but again another ten minute turn around time for a bottle of water. When our meal does arrive my steak was already precut which caused it to be cold in a lot of pieces, but what should you expect when you order a $119.00 steak that was rather small for a steak for two, now I can deal with some of the that but then to serve a plate of four yes only four scallops for fifty dollars is insane especially since they were just standard scallops they were no different then the ones you get from the grocery store for couple bucks for ten of them. I would have said something to the manager who was walking around but he never stopped in our little corner with Barbara something tells me he knew if he asked how everything was he would get a ton of complaints. So all and all the food was subpar for crazy prices, and we had to put up with the terrible service for 2 plus hours. If i was going to spend that kind of money and time and want a real nice meal on property I would go to Narcoossee's or Deep Blu. Really the whole for all the hassle and price I would rather go to a nice steakhouse like Morton's or Ruth Chris where the price is the same the but the service and food make up for the price. I will almost certainly never go back to that restaurant and the experience as a whole may have soured me on Disney fine dinning.

We make a point of eating here each year while attending the Gartner conference. The menu is not vast but it has something for all at decent prices. The wine list - which is why I really of to restaurants is very well priced. While I've come to expect solid food and service I was surprised when Oscar (shout out) commented "Last year you sat over there." (Trust me I'm not memorable. Worn a name tag at home until I was 7.) Ok, I gotta be honest. Based on the previous reviews..I really thought I was going to be in for some disappointment so went in without any high hopes for this place...and I was pleasantly surprised! We had reservations but were told to wait an additional 15 min, so we weren't off to a great start. We were seated probably another 10 minutes or so after that..so really, we waited about 25 min WITH reservation. Service: our server, Thomas, was a really nice guy and pleasant with everyone at the table. Service was friendly but somewhat on the slower side...I asked for paper napkins and it took him forever and a half to get them to me. I needed to throw my gum out ok? Food: we ordered the lobster bisque, filet mignon, ribeye and peanut butter dessert. The lobster bisque was very good - served w/ real lobster. Highly recommended!! I had the ribeye ($47) and it tasted very good - tasted just like the steaks I make at home!! It also came w/ bone marrow which I thought was very good. And the hubby had the filet ($47) and he said it was really good..he didn't comment too much so I'm guessing he enjoyed his dinner but wasn't wowed by it. The dessert was a bit too rich for me but hubby said it was the best dessert he's had in awhile.... The bill for the two of us was about $200. Not a cheap place to eat but if you feel like gettin fancy, come here. Overall, good place to eat. Gave it 4 stars due to seating issue.

The best restaurant in Disney serves perfectly cooked steaks and has an excellent wine list. Our server was on top of her game the night we were there. Her friendliness was evident and her knowledge of the menu was superb. We chatted with the table next to us and found out that they come to the Yachtsman Steakhouse every year and they also ask for the same server. The view is one of the best in Disney, next time in Disney I will be eating here again.

Fine dining really does exist at Disney! Hooray for dress codes! Great steaks and seafood. Kids behaved and liked all the special attention from staff. I enjoyed getting dressed up. Maryland coastal town theming. Loved the nautical details. Very calm, I almost forgot I was at Disney.
The Yachtsman steakhouse was a fantastic dining experience. I went with a group of 6 and the service was impeccable. From start to finish, not one complaint in the group about a single food item. I had the ribeye, it was cooked to perfection and I was sad to see it disappear from my plate. Keep in mind that this place isn't cheap, but in my opinion it was well worth the money.

We were extremely happy with the "wait" time to get our table...we had a reservation for 7.30 or so and were getting hungry so we stopped by an hour early to see if they could possibly get us in. We waited for just long enough at the bar/lounge to order one round of drinks and then were informed that our table was ready. The rum and coke my boyfriend and I ordered was more coke than rum however. Once we were seated, our server was extremely friendly, knowledgable and good natured. He was very professional and classy, welcoming us back. He seemed very knowledgable about the menu and was able to answer questions about what wine would pair best with what dish. Me and one of our other dining companions ordered the caesar salads to start. It was basically a head of romaine with Parmesan cheese and dressing on it and some croutons sitting around it on the plate. Which was totally fine with me, I am all about simplicity. My boyfriend ordered the lobster bisque which was incredibly rich and buttery (don't get me wrong it was amazingly tasty, though in his opinion just a bit too rich for a starter). For the entree, I ordered the all-natural chicken breast and had no idea really that there was also pork and oxtail in the dish but everything was delicious for me. My two other dining companions ordered the Porterhouse and both had nothing but bone left on their plates at the end of the meal. They said it was cooked perfectly, and tasted amazing. We also ordered a side of the awesome Yachtsman's mac n cheese with our meal which unfortunately we all were too satiated to finish. No room for dessert. But that's okay because we were reallllly full with a lot of good food. Would come back 10 out of 10 times.

The Yachstman has excellent food, but the service left a lot to be desired. We chose this restaurant based on its reputation and the fact that it was attached to our resort. We made a reservation five months in advance and this was to be our last big special meal at Disney. The restaurant is attractive. It is a high end steakhouse and is decorated accordingly. The wine list is extensive (for Disney) and Sam Adams was on draft. Our food was very good for the most part. The meal started with bread which was fresh and seemed cooked in the restaurant. For my entree I went with the porterhouse. While not one of their prime cuts, the steak was tender, perfectly cooked (med-rare) and was very enjoyable. We had a side of mac n cheese which was just mediocre. now for the not so good. Our server came, took our order, brought drinks then vanished. In fact, for most of the meal he was no where to be seen. Drink orders were forgotten, drinks went unfilled and in general, it was horrible. Ours was not the only table this happened to either. Several of the surrounding tables seemed to be experiencing serious service related issues. In the interest of full disclosure, I did contact Disney regarding this awful service and they seemed genuinely concerned, but who knows if anything will change? I would go back here because of the food, but if Disney plans to have high end restaurants, they need service to match.

Again, we were on vacation with our 3 nieces, ages 10, 12 and 16 in July 2013. This is what we told our nieces was our super special night out during our 11 day trip to Florida. It was our first night in Florida. Our waiter Bill was meant for this job. He spoke with each of our girls individually, stooping down to be on their level as they asked their questions about the menu. We told them Bill was the guy to ask as we didn't know the answers. He was so kind, genuine and the only other word to describe his demeanor is loving. He was patient and....did I mention how damn patient he was?!?! It took the girls over 25 minutes to get all the answers to all there questions. That in and of itself was worth the 5 out of 5 stars. We knew the tip would be well in the 40% range after just ordering. Our meal was divine. The eldest niece tried lamb for the first time, the youngest had her first NY strip and the middle niece had her favorite shrimp. This place isn't just about the food (although that's a great deal, I mean we are paying top dollar here!) but it is also about the overall dining experience. My husband and I were so thrilled that our nieces were able to experience such a wonderful night of fine dining. An experience they will always remember!

Didn't have reservation, had to wait 30 minutes even though there 30+ tables open. Waiter was excellent! Steak was very good. Kids meals were excellent and appropriate. Prices were typical for Disney.

AMAZING!!!The restaurant is fabulous, the decor and scenery is breathtaking. Thank you to everyone from the hostess to the server & chef for the wonderful dining experience. I have a couple of food allergies and the chef presented himself and ensured me that I had nothing to worry about. I had the Jumbo Shrimp Cocktail as an appetizer which was beautifully presented over ice and tasted delicious. I also had the 8-oz Black Angus Filet Mignon Mashed Potatoes and Cabernet Wine Sauce with melted to the taste. Everything was deliciously cooked and I will surely return. Thank you Oscar for the magical experience!

As a pescetarian, I came to the steakhouse with a plan to just order sides, and I'm very glad I did. The mac and cheese was the best meal I had at the Disney Resorts over the course of a week and was easily a whole meal in itself. How can anyone eat this AND a steak dinner?! The sides are also a really good value.

"Utterly disappointing".....I frequent top steakhouses and this one is not even close to the same class. The service was good, the wine was good and the soup was good; however the steak was terrible. Ordered two 8oz. Fillets, medium rare, with twice baked potatoes. One steak was cooked medium well, the other was medium rare, but dry as a bone as if it sat under the heat lamp for days. If you expect a nice juicy medium rare steak for $49, this is not it! I went to Texas Roadhouse the week before and paid $18 for the same size fillet and it was 10x better. The twice baked potato would have been good if some potato came with the salt. Both potatoes were so salty they were basically inedible.

My husband and I ate dinner here in February 2014 and it was fabulous. One of the best meals that either of us has ever had. Truly! Our reservation was made a few weeks in advance, and we were seated upon our arrival. Service was attentive without being intrusive, and our food was so very delicious. One of the things that really made this wonderful for us was the fact that they were able to accommodate our dairy allergies. Disney is generally pretty good about this; the chef comes out and talks to you about what you can and can't have. At several other Disney restaurant locations, it was all about removing the components you can't have until you're left with half of a complete dish. At Yachtsman's, they had the EarthBalance (non-dairy) butter available, so each of the food items could be cooked in that, plus we could have butter on our bread! Maybe this isn't exciting to you but we were thrilled. Our steaks (porterhouse and filet mignon) were cooked to perfection, as were the sides and appetizers. We'll be glad to return here for dinner.

Yesterday, after spending the day at Epcot, our daughter-in-laws family took us to dinner at the Yachtsman Steakhouse, in the Yacht Club hotel. It was fabulous. There were 7of us. Some of us had the lobster bisque, which they said was very good. Some of us had the caesar salad which had prosciutto mixed in- so good. The we shared a cheese/speciality meats board. Also, very good. For dinner some had filet mignon, some had NY strip steak, some had rib-eye, all were cooked to perfection with creamed spinach and truffle mac and cheese as sides. It was a nice treat, and we would love to go back and stay there. My husband enjoyed the decor and boat models.

my two dining companions and i arrived on time for our reservation but had to wait for about 15-20 minutes before getting seated. however, there's a spacious bar area with plenty of seating so waiting was not a huge deal. our server brought us our drinks and then the bread basket with two types of bread. i loved the pull apart onion bread by itself, but with the roasted garlic that was provided (in addition to the usual butter), it was seriously amazing. for my main, i ordered the NY strip steak. it came with a creamy peppercorn sauce which i liked, but i think the steak itself was oversalted. otherwise, the steak was cooked to a perfect medium rare, and the scalloped potatoes on the side were yummy. we also ordered the roasted cauliflower side, which was okay but i think the cauliflower could have been cooked a little more. we were too full for dessert, but there appeared to be some interesting options, including a habanero chocolate cake or something like that. we did get mini madeleines that were fresh out of the oven and really yummy (see pic). for a high end steakhouse, the decor and atmosphere are on the casual side with a rustic feel.

By far the best steak I ever had. Restaurant is very expensive but you will not be disappointed. We splurge once a year and go here and it's worth it. If you like steak order the porterhouse, it's the best item on the menu. It's a very large cut, cooked perfectly in garlic butter with a side of some of the best french fries I ever tasted. Service is very friendly and attentive. Highly recommended for anyone who loves steak.

I chose this restaurant to come to while visiting my husband in Florida. We went on a big date to downtown Disney and I wanted to try a restaurant at the resorts we hadn't tried yet. Plus, we didn't want to pay for a park ticket just (primarily) to go to dinner when we had to get home to our dog since the Best Friends kennel was booked up when I called. We got there I would say easily at about 5:30 pm with dinner reservations at 6:45pm. We were easily seated (although they did that let me see if we can squeeze you in bit) right away at what was tauted to be the "best seat in the house" - which I got but also didn't. Our two person table was at the front and center against the window in the circular part of the dining area, so it was lovely. But it also overlooked the pool and we dicussed how awkward it was to basically spend dinner staring and a bunch of half naked people. This is awkward for a variety of reasons. Anyhow, the interior otherwise is really lovely - a great arts and crafts style feel that I really loved. The photos on the website don't really do it justice in my opinion. Anyhow, our dinner at the Yachtsmans Steakhouse was stellar - we really just let ourselves enjoy a crazy birthday meal. Usually I know that an appetizer, one meal, and a side will more than fill my husband and I, but we decided to basically order what normal people probably do. Our meal started with onion bread with roasted garlic and butter (free with your meal - always a plus!) that was AMAZING. Oh how I love roasted garlic! The garlic was a bit sweet and really great on the bread - honestly I would go just for that. I also ordered an amazing wildberry margarita that was way too easy to drink. And that's a good thing. It was delicious. We both had steak - I had a filet mignon with red wine sauce and mashed potatoes while Jason had an aged New York strip with au gratin potatoes. We also added caramelized onions and mac and cheese as sides. Jason's steak was perfectly cooked and paired with a peppercorn brandy sauce that was to die for - his steak was the highlight of the meal. His potatoes were quite delicious too and I really enjoyed the cheeses, whatever they were, that they chose in it. My steak was great, but it did pale a bit in comparison, and my mashed potatoes were a good thick consistency with a lot of flavor - quite yummy. Overall the steak quality was good - and they were cooked well and to our liking. The caramelized onions were a bit disappointing - they tasted to be doused in a strong cooking sherry and a lot of salt to me - not quite what I would have imagined. The mac and cheese was great in flavor but was really watery. The truffle oil was delicious in it and definitely made up for it's less than stellar consistency. We ended with a cheese plate. Disney does cheese plates so well. I'm not sure what it is, but their selection of cheeses and pairings are perfect and always delicious. This one featured a young goat cheese marinated in olive oil with peppercorn, a smokey blue cheese with honeycomb, and two cows milk cheeses - the best being a harder cheese paired with pear butter! It was amazing, as I have come to expect from the Disney restaurants cheese plates. They never fail to make me quite the happy diner. Overall, I'd be back here. I really loved this as a nice date night for our birthday and it was a nice experience.

I cant even list everything wrong with this place, I'll just list the major issues. -Waited over 30 minutes for a table even thou we made reservations weeks in advance. -Waited 45 minutes for food, even the kids food which we ordered the moment we sat down at the table. -When the food finally came the order was completely wrong AND COLD. -The waiter told us dessert was on the house because of all the mistakes, when dessert arrived it was wrong as well, and we never saw our waiter again. We had to hi-jack another waiter to help us. This place is not cheap, the atmosphere is not nice (looks like a hotel buffet dining room) and the service is AWFUL. Don't waste your time or money. We went to Raglan's Irish Pub in Downtown Disney a few days earlier and it was FANTASTIC and half the price.

After a pretty bad experience here on Christmas a couple of years ago, I thought I'd give it another try with my family in the hopes that the head chef and sous chef were off on Christmas accounting for my sub-par filet mignon. For a steakhouse, even this time around it wasn't good... especially considering the cost. That being said, there were some great dishes mixed in with the iffy steak. The tomato and mozzarella curd appetizer was delicious - the tomatoes were juicy and ripe and paired perfectly with the crispy vodka fried mozzarella curds. And the Truffle Macaroni and Cheese was a fantastic side. The flavors were rich and the texture was creamy, a little crunchy, and over-all super yummy. My step-mom had the filet mignon and it was a little tough. It was also paired with very dry mashed potatoes. My dad and boyfriend had the strip-steak (which came highly recommended) - my dad's came as ordered and he said it was pretty good but the potato side was also very dry. My boyfriend ordered his medium rare - it came out medium well so the waiter immediately brought it back to the kitchen. His manager brought out another strip steak within 30 seconds, he cut it open and to me it appeared rare. He said it was a warm center so... he stuck with it and ate a very bloody, kind of cold NY Strip. I ordered the butternut squash ravioli which was honestly quite good... The reason for 2 stars instead of 3? The price. If you're charging 5 star prices, I expect excellent food.

It was amazing. We went on our last night at Disney. We stayed at the resort so it was extremely convenient. The group I was with were 3 families of farmers, so a great steak is great to come across. Our waiter was amazing and hilarious. He kept the glasses full, checked on us often, and was full of wit! The wine was also amazing! I ordered the Filet which was wonderful. I have a small appetite and don't tend to eat a lot; that night, I cleaned my plate! The had a bite of my dad's Caesar salad and thought it was delicious, along with the lobster bisque I ordered. If you can afford it and want a great steak, I highly recommend this restaurant!

I also have to say "AVOID AVOID... danger Will Robinson !!! " If you are expecting a slightly fancier Golden Corral, then welcome and more power to you. If you have ever had Morton's or Ruth's Chris then you WILL be sadly disappointed. We indeed had some great meals in Disney at Epcot - say over at Teppan Edo in Japan land. Do you believe a rib-eye cut should be 50 % fat ? If you do , then the Yachtsman is for you !!! We arrived 10 minutes early to check-in after having made a reservation 3 months in advance. Upon walking up to attempt to check-in , noted a line down the hall. This was a mixture of reservation check-ins and folks trying to simply crash and get in somehow. A bad bad start to the experience at Yachtsman. There should have been 2 lines. Mentioned this to the rather young manager lady and was given the stare from hades and asked "what exactly would you like me to do" ? Handed a pager and waited 25 minutes in a VERY overcrowded bar. The staff was really trying but there were simply not enough bar tenders to handle the dining guest along with those in the bar. Was handed off to each of the 3 bar tenders and had to repeat the order 3 times thusly. No coordination. It seems nobody was team leading that area. Got seated. Place seemed nice enough, lighting and ambiance were decent BUT....upon unwrapping the silverware noted that my wife had dirty utensils. Came time to have a drink of water and my water glass had a chip which, thankfully , I saw before raising the glass to my lips. Asked quietly and politely for another glass. This one was CRACKED !!! During our meal, glasses were never cleared nor was the table swept for cleanliness. My wife excused herself to use the ladies room. She comes back and quietly tells me "honey, there is no toilet paper in ANY of the stalls". This is at 7:45pm not closing !! What gives Disney or should I say "3rd party that runs the steak place for Disney". Mind you, this is supposed to be a fancy steak place according to the Disney folks and concierge at the hotel. So far , just not impressed....nothing good to write home about. On a good note, the waiter got our order correct even if he got dealt a bad hand of serving 9 tables !! yup, his zone comprised 9 busy tables - 2 of which had large 6 member parties. The button mushrooms were excellent. The grilled onions for steak topping were terrible. It was more like onion soup with not one bit of carmelization on the onions. The onions were wet. Sent the onions back.... and that begins the final part of this sad tale of woe. The bill. The bill was not correct and took 3 times to get corrected accurately. First the onions, the wet onions were left on the bill. Then they were removed as agreed but now the bill went from using disney points to CASH. On the 3rd try the bill came back with a large party tip already added even though my wife and i were a party of only 2 NOT 6 or more !! Finally on the 4th try the bill was accurate.

Let me begin by saying that we did NOT have the steak. I do intend to go back for what we hope will be a delicious steak! My husband and I visited for the Thanksgiving dinner. Our pull apart onion rolls were absolutely delicious. The dinner was pretty good, but the white meat could have used more flavor. My least enjoyable part of the meal was the $11 sliver of pumpkin cheesecake. It was not even as wide as my 2 fingers, and about as long. While it was yummy, I could have stood for more cheesecake and less garnish.

I want to start off by saying this is not a cheap place and may not be that good for kids, however there were children there and you will probably want to make reservations. The disclaimer over now on to the review, like all places in DisneyWorld you are hard pressed to find to find a bad sit-down restaurant and Yachtsman Steakhouse is no different. The food and the service are outstanding Our Server Ann was a shinning star. She was honest and fourth coming with her answers, which was great. We asked for her opinion and she gave it to us with no BS. I'm not a big steak eater but everyone one I was with are, so we made reservations to come here for our last night as a special treat for those in our group how love steak...they were not disappointed. They had an amazing salmon for me (picture provided). One of the nice things Ann suggested, because we wanted to all have salad and their house special Truffle Mac and Cheese was that we get two salads (and split it) and then order one order of the Mac and Cheese to share, so we did and it was still a lot of food. We tried for dessert but we failed, there just wasn't room on the table or in our tummies. It was a great meal and excellent service.

Okay steakhouse. No bone in ribeye. Largest Boneless ribeye was 16oz. The 28oz porterhouse was okay but a bit undercooked for medium. The dinner rolls were fabulous. We were seated around 5:45 pretty slow time. Waiter forgot our side dishes so had to wait on it. I expect more from a Disney restaurant.

Food and service amazing. I just don't get the bad reviews but things change I suppose. Had the ribeye but like any steak house they under cooked it a bit. Plus escargot and tuna app. Fun cocktails and I don't do fu fu drinks. Superb atmosphere. Note it's Disney so there will be kids, hold your salty language. Book early, it's busy.

The Yacht Club Hotel is rumored to be former Disney chief, Michael Eisner's favorite resort hotel - the one where he and his family most often stay. Its easy to see why. The Yachtsman Steakhouse is seriously amazing. Its a little dressy, and after a long, hot day touring the parks not everyone in my party wanted to get showered and dressed up for dinner - ok, I didnt wanna do that- but my friend dragged me there and it is well worth the trouble. They say the Sea Bass is a specialty, but if you want seafood I recommend coral Reef in Epcot, or Flying Fish Cafe on the boardwalk. The Yachtsman is a steak house and you would be remiss to order anything but. All of the steaks are cut on site. The fries are sikk (scrumptious) and fresh cut. Ask for malt vinegar. The view of the lagoon and boardwalk is breathtaking. We didnt have reservations but got seated because we got there right as they opened the doors at 5:30pm - Arik Katzenberg

Of the many meals had on the Disney Resorts, I'd say that this one was one of my favorite. The service was fantastic, the on-location dry aged meats had great flavor and texture. On top of it all, they provided some great birthday treats (with happy birthday stamped in chocolate on the plate)! I ordered the porterhouse steak, 24 oz of juicy steak. It was very good (in my opinion, better than the famous Ruth Chris' porterhouse). The fries (default pairing) were also perfectly cooked and seasoned and complemented the steak well (though probably not the best combination in terms of eating light and healthy). I also tried the filet mignon which was super soft and also great flavor. If I ever return to Orlando, this will definitely be a part of that visit!

This amazing location is one of the gem's in Disney's hotel restaurants. Well-crafted steaks and appropriate accompaniments make for a delicious, memorable meal. We did ask our server to let us savor and enjoy the meal; he seemed rushed (and talked just as fast) at the start, and we didn't want the experience marred by feeling hurried. He complied, and was the right level of attentive from then on. They have an extraordinary wine list, if you have the dough. There are the standard Disney-restaurant wines, but also a dedicated wine list with bottles starting in the low $100s and going up -- way up -- from there. It is at Disney, so plan for it to be pricey (perhaps even more so than you would otherwise expect), and plan to need reservations (which as of now, open about 6 months out), or plan to wait for a chance at a table. They have also started requiring a credit card number when you make the reservation, and you'll be charged $10 per person if you cancel less than 24 hours out. Overall, it's an "occasion-worthy" dining experience to anticipate and savor.

Way over rated !! Atmosphere is nice. Nothing special. Service was OK, nothing special. Food was OK, nothing special. Will definitely not go back with all the other places to chose from.
Came here for a special dinner while my husband and I were on our honeymoon and we absolutely loved it! It is definitely a little pricey but we were on the dining plan so that wasn't really a big deal to us at the time! I ordered the filet but was not use if I would like the sauce it came with so the server asked me what I would like and made it happen and it turned out absolutely delicious. It was by far the best steak i've had on disney property and I will be returning in March and cannot wait! The server was super attentive and wowed us when he noticed customers sitting at the table next to us and had remembered them from when they visited him last YEAR! Considering how busy Disney is that was really awesome to see.

A great spot for an excellent meal. The cuts, and prep are the best of the best. Wait staff is attentive, not intrusive. Okay wines by the glass, some extraordinary selections on the wine list. Wonderful dining and people watching.

Located in the WDW Yacht Club Resort Hotel, this is an upscale restaurant. On the Dining Plan, each meal will count as two meals. The steaks were done to perfection. The food and the service is very good. Pricey, yes. Not as casual as most WDW restaurants.

WOW! Perfection. Both my husband and I had the porterhouse and it was amazing. Cooked to perfection! Best steak I have ever had. Service was great and they were very friendly especially with 2 restless kids. Drinks were good. Dessert was okay, but they have a cool dessert for the kids called Mickey's Puzzle that kept the kids busy for awhile! We were actually 30 mins late and they still seated us within 10 mins. We stayed at a different resort and did not realize that buses do not run to the Yacht Club from Epcot! So we had to take a bus from Epcot to Hollywood Studios and then take a very slow moving boat to the Yacht Club!

Avoid at all costs!! I was staying at the hotel with my family, and we had thought it would be a nice place to eat for our last night at Disney...totally wrong about that. The concierge at the hotel had recommended reservations (and warned us we would be charged 10 per person if we canceled at the last minute). What a joke. We showed up right on the spot our reservation, we were told 20-25 minutes behind, but we ended up waiting almost an hour. They recommended we wait in the bar (which was full due to all the reservations being behind), and they would "find us". In reality, we stood around waiting for a place to sit at the bar, and we had to approach the host 3 times to get seated. Even thought we essentially flipped out at the host, we never even heard so much as an apology or a word from the manager. Not a good start! We tried to keep an open mind about the dinner once we were seated, but a rough wait time turned into a horrible dinner. The service was atrocious for a nice restaurant - we had to practically waive our empty glasses in front of the server to get refills (plus she never took away the empty wine glasses or cheese plates--not a big deal in a casual place, but this was supposed to be fancy). Not only that, but the food was very overpriced for the quality. I understand that Disney is always a little pricey, but the filet did not taste right...and a medium rare butterflied steak turned into an overdone piece of meat that was barely edible. Horrible wait time, bad service, and mediocre food. All this for more than 40 per entree. No thanks - I could do better in Epcot (or a fast food restaurant for that matter). I understand to expect mediocrity for an average restaurant at a hotel, but this was supposed to be a nice steakhouse. It turned out to be anything but.

review over rated, ordered stake one dry aged and regular rib eye, served already cold and dry. no taste or flavor need salt, but the muffin bread is good, lobster bisque is too salty.

We had a party of 8. Reservations were really not honored since we waited 40 minutes passed to be seated. That being said the server a young ethnic man was horrible. Our table was just having mixed drinks. Non of us are really big wine drinkers. So when our server offered us the wine list we declined. Well that was the turning point of out experience. Once we declined the wine menu our server became very rude and impatient as if we were wasting his time. Now I know that a bottle of wine really boosts up the check average. But come on we were all drinking $8 mixed drinks along with $12 martinis. It averages out to the same cost. The steaks were all cooked to the incorrect temps. I ordered my steak medium, it came out almost raw. It was horrible. We complained to the management but they simply were oblivious and really did nothing to help us out. Never again.

Went back and forth debating to give this 3 or 4 stars but decided on 4 due to the great service. We had heard rave reviews about Yachtsman so since we were finally staying at Beach Club, we decided to go on our first night. Our server was very friendly and personable. He immediately picked up my fathers NY/NJ accent and that brought on a slight Yankee/Red Sox rivalry (our server was from RI originally). I started off with a glass of wine and an appetizer. I ordered the heirloom tomatoes with goat brie and it was good. Didn't blow me away though and was missing some sort of flavor. The bread brought to the table with roasted garlic was better so I had a good portion of that before our meal came. For entrees my father had the NY Strip and he enjoyed it. It was cooked perfectly and he said it had good flavor. I ordered the filet and was slightly disappointed. It was cooked just how I asked but it was completely fatty, which I've never seen a filet with that much fat in it. I picked around the fat and was still full when I finished but I don't think that piece of meat should have ever been served. For side dishes, the server recommended the truffle mac & cheese and it didn't disappoint. It had great flavor and I could have made a meal out of just that. We also ordered the green beans, which I enjoyed. We were too full to get any dessert but it all looked good. Would we be back? Only if we're staying at Beach or Yacht Club again but the steak at Citricos, Jiko, and Brown Derby are much better.
In one word. Amazing. Everything you'd expect from a five star steakhouse. Steaks tender like butter. Amazing sides. More than holds its own against the likes of a Capital/Ruths/Mortons.

This was one of the deluxe restaurants available in the Magic Kingdom resort area located at the Yacht Club hotel. I started with the lobster bisque and had the bone-in ribeye for main. Both were very tasty. Service was a bit slow and lacking. But, I was in the company of fun crowd so it didn't bug me too much.

So can someone please explain all the hype about this place to me? I seriously don't get it. This is a favorite of my boyfriend's brother and now wife, so we went the other day to celebrate their wedding along with my boyfriend's family. Almost every person at the table had an issue with their food. My well done steak came out medium well, my boyfriend's medium well steak was medium rare, and everyone who ordered mashed potatoes received cold potatoes. One of the people in our party even had his potatoes sent back to be re-heated and they still came back cold! All that being sad, the desert was quiet yummy! My boyfriend and I shared the chocolate trio and gelato trio. Both were delicious! I was still thinking about the amazing chocolates the next day. They also gave the bride and groom a mini complimentary dessert with congratulations wirtten on it, which was cute. Our total and tip was over $600 for 8 people. Way too over priced in my opinion. Our server Lucius (I kept wanting to call him Lucius Malfoy) was great though, and deserved the automatic 18% gratuity that Disney adds for parties of 8 or more.

Our first time last month which was a shame having been to WDW 9 times over the past 4 years. But it is expensive. Not totally a kids place. Also a hike to get to if you aren't staying at Yatch n Beach club. But food and staff great! Will come back for sure.

Fine dining in a beautiful resort with a nautical New England feel. The corn fed western beef is dry aged and cured. They have an open kitchen where you can view the beef that is cut here and stored in the glass enclosed room where it is aged. The open kitchen also provides a glimpse of them grilling over wood chips of hickory and oak. Choose from a twenty ounce bone in rib eye, a twenty four ounce porterhouse, a twelve ounce NY strip or an eight ounce filet mignon. Even though it is a steakhouse, other options are the braised beef short ribs, free range roasted chicken breast, Ahi tuna, herb crusted rack of lamb and vegetarian dishes. Side dishes are ala carte, even though each meal does come with an accompanying potato, rice or vegetable. Sides are interesting and not over priced if you want to share one or two. The truffle mac & cheese is excellent as well as the porcini mushroom risotto. Unless you have a big appetite or have not eaten since breakfast, think long and hard about whether you should have an appetizer of seared sea scallops, escargo, lobster bisque, a chilled salad or one of their awesome desserts. Going with a large group and agreeing to share will give you the chance to try many more appetizers, entrees and desserts. The wine list is extensive, the service is friendly and knowledgeable and the food is served in large portions. I like a bearnaise sauce with my filet mignon and I had no problem substituting it for the red wine sauce. The ladies room over whelmed my daughter in law. Beautiful, with sitting area ( lounge ) and cloth hand towels, special soaps and lotions. The Yachtsman Steakhouse is open for dinner only and they do feature a children's menu.

The Yachtsman gets an A+ from me for service and food. Both our waiter and our meals were outstanding. Our waiter had extensive knowledge about the menu and cuts of meat, which was very helpful and made our choices easier (knowing exactly what each cut of meat and side was meant we all ended up with our perfect dinner). He also knew about wine pairings and I appreciated his recommendation as my wine went nicely with the flavors in my meal. Filet Mignon: AMAZING. Cooked perfectly. Melt-in-your-mouth good. Atmosphere: Nice, but sort of weird. It feels like it should be a very fancy restaurant, but then some parts have a slightly more casual feel to it (plus since Disney has the meal plan now, we saw a bunch of extra-casual diners, which took away from the overall atmosphere of fanciness). Still, no complaints. Plus, they have a butcher guy in a window in a room where you can see him cutting huge slabs of meat. Pretty cool. I definitely recommend going here if you want a great steak treat and more 'foodie' menu than many of the other popular Disney restaurants. It's definitely worth the 2 meal plan dinners if you're on the meal plan.

Had dinner at the Yachtsman last week while staying at the Beach Club, and it was incredibliy disappointing. The good: -Nice wine list, and good bread/roasted garlic to start with. - Tasty appetizers - the charcuterie board was really nice, and the tomato/mozzarella appetizer was unique and nicely prepared. The caesar and wedge salads were not at all unique, but weren't bad. Overall, a nice first course. The problems: - Reservation for 8:30 for our party of six,, but didn't get seated until 9pm. What's the point of a reservation if you aren't going to hold a table? If I'm going to be charged a fee for a late reservation cancellation, then its inexcusable to have guests wait this long. This could've been forgiven had the food been good, but... - Our group ordered 5 rib eyes and 1 porterhouse; all of the orders were ordered medium rare. One of us was served a NY strip, which the waitress insisted was a rib eye. Every steak came out unevenly cooked, and all of them had large sections of the cut that were rare, or even worse, raw. - Sides were terrible - brussel sprouts were overcooked and bland and the creamed spinach looked and tasted like it came out of a can. - Finally, the service was pretty abysmal in addressing the poor quality of the meal. The server was clueless and combative, and the manager was not proactive. Rather than ensure they wanted to make sure we had an enjoyable meal, we were asked "well, what do you want us to do? do you want us to cook the steaks". Do they expect people who just bit into a raw steak to be enthusiastic about a 2nd attempt? - Four of us sent our steaks back, and two us chose not to get new meals given the slow service and low quality of the meals. The second-effort steaks were decent - why couldn't the chef have gotten it right the first time? - In the end, the manager comp'd 3 steaks and all of the sides, but never revisited the table after the initial issue was raised to make sure we were happy. High prices + mediocre food (at best) + poor service = try somewhere else. We should've eaten at the Flying Fish for a 2nd time rather than waste our time at this place.

Again - I don't go to Disney properties for great food and was pleasantly surprised. After eating at Cat Cora's restaurant at Wednesday and getting dismal service but good food I was prepared for more of the same here. For a party of twelve our reservations were at 8 and they seated us pretty much on time and I must say our server was fantastic and much much better than the night before. He was efficient, didn't let us sit without drinks for 20 minutes which was the case at Kouzzina. He promptly took our orders and the food moved out - we finished a full hour ahead of the night previous. I had the fish of the day which was Mahi Mahi which was tender, properly seasoned and very tasty. The pork chop was absolutely delicious. The clam chowder was very tasty. The crab cakes were okay but nothing to write home about - I got that as an app and was disappointed - I did feel bad for those in my group who ordered that as their entree it was a little lacking. Overall a great experience and delightful surprise. 12 of us ate, received our check and were out in just over 2 hours which was a huge improvement of the previous night at Kouzzine which was 3-1/2 hours!

Yachtsman does a disservice to all other "Signature Dining" Restaurants at WDW. If you come here expecting a Jiko, California Grill or even Citrico's experience, you will for sure be disappointed. Ok, that's not entirely true. I did have a pretty good steak here the first time I went. That's where the good stops and the bad starts. The gnocchi was terrible, the fish of the day was meh, the lamb is OK, the service is slow slow slow. The price does not justify it at all. If you find yourself here, and are sick of waiting 30 minutes for water, there are really some decent places to eat right on the other side at the boardwalk. Go to flying fish, kouzzina's or walk into Epcot (5 mins walk) to Le Cellier for a good steak.

We went to disney world on our honeymoon and decided through much debate and suggestion to sign up for the plan. We then immediately reserved various table service meals, Yachtsman Steakhouse being one of them. In fact, we came here the first night and quite frankly the Yachtman Steakhouse ruined most of our table service meals for the rest of the week. We booked too late to get into some of the more revered restaurants like the california grille, but by far this was a great experience. This was the best meal of the week. My wife and I ordered the sirloin and porterhouse and quite frankly both were the best pieces of meat we had eaten in years. The 3 stars is for price. We live very close to some very nice steak houses, for which we rarely frequent for anything but the bar, but as with most Disney restaurants, if you were paying the menu price it's not the best deal. However, if you are on the Disney Dining Plan and like great steak, this place is a must!

For a "signature dining experience" I found the Yachtsman disappointing. The restaurant itself is absolutely stunning. My husband and I were seated in the window overlooking Stormalong Bay, which was perfect. Our waiter was friendly, personable, and attentive. The food, however, did not live up to the atmosphere. We started with a caprese salad, which was average. The real problem was our steaks. I ordered a rib eye and my husband ordered a porterhouse. Neither steak came out cooked correctly, and for what the Yachtsman charges, that's unforgivable. We ordered our steaks medium, and they came out well-done in most parts, but raw in others. The chef that evening did not have good control over the grill. My husband sent his back because it was really overcooked, and the waiter offered him a free glass of wine. Nice gesture, but it was really awkward to have my meal sitting there, getting cold, waiting for his steak to be re-done. So I started to eat my steak, but that's also awkward, because my husband was starving and who goes out to dinner to eat alone? When the Porterhouse came back, it was cooked better, but still not perfect. The Yachtsman is serving aged steak. The cooking does not match the quality of meat they are using. Our desserts, in contrast to our dinners, were superb. We ordered one of their signature desserts, which had three different banana creations. It was lick the plate clean good. We also had a chocolate dessert that was phenomenal. The Yachtsman offers press pots of loose tea, which was the only restaurant that we encountered that did this on Disney property. I had a jasmine tea that was excellent. If the food matched the service here, the Yachtsman would be 5 stars.

Probably one of the more overrated Disney restaurants. It is a good steakhouse but not a top premiere steakhouse. Steaks are usually very good but they do have a problem at times cooking to the temperature you would like. Nice atmosphere and good food but not at the top of our list for Disney property restaurants.

I will admit right now, my one and only experience with the Yachtsman Steakhouse was the night my wife and I arrived in Florida to start our honeymoon. We had just checked into the Beach Club Villas and were walking around to kind of take in the sights when we saw the Yachtsman and decided to go in for dinner. Once we got there, we were treated about as well as one could expect. Our server was quite polite and kind and asked why we were there. We told him and he went beyond his way to make our dinner there even more special. When it came to the food, it was probably the best steak I had ever had until that point in my life. I had the porterhouse and my wife had the fillet mignon and man were we more than happy with the portions. My steak was so big, the vegetables and mashed potatoes came on a separate plate. And my wife's mignon was so big, she took half of it back to the villa after dinner. And they were both extremely tasty and filling. I am expecting to go back to the Yachtsman when my wife and I return there next year for our 5 year anniversary. I just hope that the experience we have then will be as memorable as the first time. Because even to this day, when people ask me where I would suggest eating when they go to Orlando, I still highly suggest this one over all other places for a fanciful and memorable dinner.

Don't let the fancy aging room fool you. They charge you prime steak rates and serve choice cuts of meat. What ever method they are using to cook the meat is not hot enough to form any sort of crust on the outside of it. My steak came out cooked wrong (jello consistency on one half, med rare on the other). When I reminded the waiter I ordered it med rare he proceeded to tell me "This is med rare, would you like it cooked to medium?" Don't waste your hard earned vacation dollars.

I've been to the Yachtsman Steakhouse twice now and both experiences were good though a bit different. The first time I had dinner here, everything was top notch! We ordered a little bit of everything on the menu. The staff was friendly and the service was top notch. The second time we went to eat here, the service was fine. But some of my party thought that we were being looked down upon, because we were not "dress appropriately" after just finishing a day at Epcot. We were definitely not in "Yacht club" apparel, but ironically we were actually staying at the the Yacht Club on the occasion. Needless to say, my party was not happy when the hostess tried to get us to sit in the lounge area where a "limited menu" was available. We ended up sitting in the normal dining room, next to the other "touristy" folks. Our server Lizz was great! She was knowledgeable and accommodating, seeing as we were thirsty, exhausted and about to pass out. Below is a list of food that we've eaten on the two occasions at the Yachtsman Steakhouse. Seared Maine Diver Scallops with frisee and shiitake mushroom salad, warm smoked bacon vinaigrette - I thought that this salad was delicious. The scallops were perfection, slightly sweet and creamy tasting. Not a fan of the bacon vinegrette though. [I hate bacon so that may be the flaw in that.] Chilled Seafood Salad - lobster, shrimp and jumbo crab with lemon creme fraiche and avocado cream - This salad was amazing as well. The combination of seafood was nicely balanced and delicate tasting. Lobster Bisque - Maine lobster and creme fraiche finished with brandy - The bisque was good. I personally don't like bisque because of it's heaviness, but the people in my groups said that it was tasty though on the salty end of the spectrum. Pan-Seared Sea Bass - jumbo lump crab and spinach ravioli, citrus butter, and crustacean sauce - This was truly amazing. The bass was seared to perfection. The meat was succulent and I want to go order it again right now! Roasted Free-Range Chicken Breast - Lamb sausage, braised artichokes , confit peppers and heirloom pole beans - I didn't order this, but my brother-in-law did. Said that it was good and that it was seasoned well. Yachtsman Filet Mignon - 8-ounce filet with mashed potatoes and a red wine sauce - Everyone who ordered this, six so far, have loved this dish. They are always cooked exactly as you order them and the flavors were fantastic! Summer Vegetable Ravioli - Tasted like a nice summer vegetable pasta. A loose layered style ravioli, which reminded me of an Asian infused wonton-inspired pasta dish. Blue Lake Green Beans in lemon butter with red bell peppers and lemon gremolata - For such a simple side, the green beans were great. Crisp, flavorful and perfectly seasoned. Medley of Rainbow Carrots - This was unique with the different colored carrots. I finished this one all by myself and carrots are not my favorite vegetable, so that says A LOT. Sauteed Mushroom Caps with sherry and cabernet wine sauce - I love mushrooms and these were really nice as well, maybe a bit heavy because of the cabernet sauce. Creamed Spinach with parmesean cheese - Everyone loves creamed spinach, even my nieces who hate "green stuff". Sorbet Trio -- chef's selection of seasonal fruit sorbets - A perfectly light dessert to compliment my meal after a hot, summer's day. Sweet, but not overly so. Creme Brulee with fresh berries and rolled chocolate - Very sweet. Rich. Crisp. The way a crème brulee should be. --------------------------------------------------Â---------------------------------------- Normally for special occasions, such as birthdays a crème brulee is comp'd for the guest but this time it was a chocolate treat instead. I think I would've preferred the crème brulee, but either way the birthday girl enjoyed herself. Though I still prefer Narcoossee's over the Yachtsman Steakhouse, I would definitely come back to eat dinner here. That also says alot, because I personally don't care for red meat.

I love a good steak and I'm talking about a steak with flavor, that's tender and that you just can't stop making those yumm sounds with each bite. This is what you get at the Yachtsman Steakhouse at Disney World located inside at the Yatch and Beach Club. I have eaten steaks at Le Cellier, Mortons, Ruth's Chris, Gene and Georgetti's, etc. You name it and I have most likely tried them during my travels. Their steaks are OK but this place tops the charts. This is not a place to go if you are on a budget as the prices are extremely high but the steaks are off the chart. In fact, all the food we had was off the charts. They are high end and you get high end, and pay for it in the end. But the experience matches the ambiance. The staff was very attentive, friendly, outgoing, and went above and beyond traditional good service. You can find a similar experience...........somewhere................but you have to search to find it. This is on my list as a number once choice for taking clients to dinner and high on my list of recommendations - for those looking for a very high end restaurant. The deserts were also fabulous serving valrhona chocolate. They treat you like a king (and they should for the price) but it's well worth the experience and food quality.

All I have to say about the food her is amazing!! We had the porterhouse and lobster bisque . Everything was mouthwatering . This place has to be one of the best restaurants in all of Disneyworld

Yummy! This place was pretty darn good in my book. I had an 8:30pm reservation for me and my husband and were seated about 15 minutes after we checked in. The restaurant was a bit noisier than expected but probably still less noisy than the other Disney buffets. Our server was really nice and very attentive. His personality just made you smile. The bread service was yummmmmm.... The roasted garlic runs onto the bread like butter and made it taste so good. The sourdough bread was good too along with the biscuity type too. My glow-Tini was also very yummy too! Now for the food... We decided to order the porterhouse for two , cooked medium. It came with three small sides of caramelized onions, creamed spinach, sautéed mushroom and some potatoes. We also went ahead and ordered the truffle Mac and cheese. The steak was soo good! Cooked perfectly and the flavor was very good. Both me and the hubby had stuffy noses and we could still taste the flavors! Occasionally I would get a salty bite but it was only when the piece was a smaller piece and completely soaked with the melted seasoned butter. However it didn't happen to often. The caramelized onions were like eating French onion soup without the soup. Very yummy. The creamed spinach was good but nothing to rave about. The mushrooms were the same way too. The potatoes were perfectly cooked but we both got thrown off by the random purple yam potatoes that were in mix. The taste was still good though. The truffle Mac and cheese was super yummy and was deliciously creamy. We skipped on dessert only because we had ice cream earlier in the day. Overall we had a very satisfying meal here and would def recommend it. I didn't have too much trouble getting a reservation as I booked it just a few hours in advance. They do have a dress code so make sure you bring something decent to wear.

we were looking for the best steaks available at disney world! after reading various reviews we were led to the yachtsman steakhouse! we made our reservations 3 months in advance. even though there was no reservation availability there were still plenty of tables open. the staff did a great job of serving our table. our waiter did an amazing job especially in capturing the attention of our 5 and 2 year olds. the waiter made some fine recommendations too. we ordered bisque soup for appetizer and it was great! we ordered a 16 oz prime ribeye steak with a separate side of asparagus. also, new york strip steak with a side of fries and two orders of child cheese pasta. and since we were on vacation we ordered a chocolate-peanut cake in addition to my birthday dessert provided by the yachtsman steakhouse. i love steak! but my ribeye had a point reyes blue cheese butter on top and i was not thrilled about it. honestly, i would rate my ribeye about a 4 star. but everything else about the yachtsman steakhouse was 5 star. the ambiance was casual. our table did not have linen cloth and lacked in interior appeal. but i was okay with it. i did like all the wood used inside the restaurant. our family of 4 had a great time! our bill before tip was $180. i would do it again!

(4)Rick S.
(5)Jpr S.
Exceeded our expectations. This was our second visit in two years. The filet was cooked perfectly. Our server even went as far as to order a grilled cheese from the restaurant next door for my son. Lu Lu our server was a perfect example of Disney magic
(5)Kalvin K.
Great steaks on the Disney complex. I would say this is the best steakhouse on Disney property. They have their own dry aging room and it is nice to view various steaks in the aging process. The temperature of the steak is cooked to perfection. Awesome bread with the meal too.
(5)Susan S.

(2)Jeremy S.

I ate at the Yachtsman Steakhouse last night and it was definitely one of the better meals I've had in a long time. We made reservations for 915pm and arrived about 25 minutes early which was not a problem at all, they told us the wait would be a few minutes, which we expected, but we did not wait long. We went into the bar, ordered a glass of wine, and by the time we had our drinks the hostess came to bring us to our table. The resort itself is gorgeous, and this restaurant is no exception. The ambiance was great for our romantic dinner date. Once we were seated, we had a very nice, extensive wine list on our table. (We love trying new wines and pairings!) We also looked at the menu which is mainly steaks, as this is a steakhouse, but I was in the mood for seafood so the scallops were my choice. However, I am allergic to mushrooms and they were a main ingredient in the scallop dish on the menu, so we let the waitress know, and the chef came out to talk to me about changing the meal for me. He was very accommodating and came up with an excellent meal for me. We ordered the artisanal cheese plate for an appetizer. The cheeses were AMAZING! Especially with our second wine choice for the evening! We also had their delicious bread with the sea salt butter and roasted garlic. Yum! Once our meals came out they looked amazing. My scallops tasted delicious and I even tried some of my boyfriends filet which was cooked perfectly (medium rare). Once we were finished we were stuffed, but we just had to have dessert. The creme brûlée was recommended to us by our waitress, and I am glad we got it. It was a perfect ending to a great meal. The next time we are in Disney we definitely will be coming back. Loved it!

(4)Marc R.
(5)Steph B.
(3)Sandra M.
Ask for Ricardo! From appetizers and wine to steak that melts like butter - Ricardo served up one of the most entertaining meals I have ever had. The atmosphere was romantic yet comfortable and the wine list was exquisite.
(5)Connie D.
Excellent excellent cheese & chautecerie appetizer ! Prime rib was so great! Service terrific! Desserts good!
(4)Nikki S.
(5)Bailey P.
(5)Brittany L.
(3)Mary C.
Used to be one of our favorites at Disney for a nice steak dinner. This visit was somewhat disappointing as the steaks and lamb chops were cooked to order but they were just all too salty. Wait staff was very friendly but unfortunately this visit was not the most memorable.
(2)Jamie W.
The truffle mac n cheese was o.m.g. redic! I had a NY strip that had great flavor and was tender and moist! Our server was funny also and we had a view of the pool outside. #Yum
(5)Emily A.
Very tasty, but far too expensive. Great workers and great food. All of the restaurants in Disney top the ones at home
(4)Chris P.
(4)Neil M.
(2)James P.

My fiancé and I were in Orlando visiting Disney World, and chose Yachtsman Steakhouse as our fine dining spot to celebrate our engagement. We made reservations, but when we arrived, the host said they were no longer seating people. We told him we had reservations, and then all of a sudden everything was okay, and we were seated. I must say, our server was fabulous. He was very attentive and friendly, yet not over the top to where he was checking on us too often. The food was good, but not really anything special. We had a pleasant dining experience, but I would probably want to try another steakhouse if I am ever back in Orlando.

Took my girlfriend here for her birthday and I gotta say it's everything you would expect from a top steakhouse. From the initial greeting and introduction to the steakhouse the staff was extremely professional and accommodating. It took our waiter a bit to welcome a pair of early 20 year old diners; I guess he didn't expect us to know what we were in for nor have the palate to appreciate it. We ordered a ravioli for appetizer and it was delicious. It seemed like more of a tortellini but I didn't think too much of it because of the amazing flavor it brought with the pesto and bolognese. Now for the entree, I ordered the 12 oz NY strip and it was fantastic. Cooked absolutely perfectly and had amazing flavor. The brandy peppercorn sauce was an excellent compliment. I didn't care too much for the twice baked potato, it seemed like it may have been prepackaged or previously frozen as it was lacking flavor and was very dry. I did have a glass of the BR Cohn Silver Label and it was a fantastic wine to have with this meal. The waiter properly presented the bottle and poured my wine with enough time to allow it to breath before the meal arrived. We ordered a side of the truffle mac and cheese which was great. We finished the night off with my girlfriends favorite, creme brûlée. Overall the meal was great but the service and atmosphere of a true steakhouse was what won me over.

Yummy yummy yummy! I ordered the Lobster Bisque--oh so good! The filet mignon was a little more rare than a normal medium rare, but I will take it on the rare-r side (that the well done side) any day! I asked for blue cheese butter with it and the white cheddar baked potato. Soo good! I noticed that a side for a different entrée was popcorn grits. I'm a popcorn fanatic so I asked to try a little. They brought out some for me and it tasted just...like..popcorn. So cool! For dessert, I had to get the crème brulee. The perfect ending!!

Who da thunk you could get great steak at Disney World? The best porterhouse and rack of lamb I have ever had. I have been to lots of steak restaurants and the food is dynamite. The service isn't as "magical" as it could be but with the setting and the food, it is wonderful, however, expensive.
(5)Kris H.

Amazing service. Food was delicious. Can't wait to go back again!! Would definitely recommend a little pricey would have to be for a special occasion or vacation.

(5)Kalynne M.
(5)Jeff V.
Creme brûlée, creamed corn, lobster bisque and the truffle mac and cheese are all standouts. And that's before mentioning what they are known for, Nice steaks that are perfectly prepared. The strip steak is my favorite. Nice place that definitely requires reservations during busy periods.
(5)Chris R.

Excellent steak good service and my picky eater kids loved it as well. Servers are all friendly and work hard to to make sure your having a good time

(4)Tony N.

Absolutely fantastic. Worth every penny.

(4)Erin N.

Omg. So good. The cheese board, the steak, the desert.... All wonderful

(3)Bradford G.

By far the best restaurant i have been to on Disney property in regards to fine dining. Top notch Service in classy Disney style and en exciting menu to get your taste buds excited. The onion style muffin bread spread with the crunchy butter and roasted garlic puts you in the mood to enjoy fine favors. The lobster bisque was really delicious and Lots of lobster meat. Peppery, which I like. I ordered the ribeye which I found a little tough but overall excellent. The star of my dinner were the sweet potato begnei's. Unbelievable, like a side that is also a desert. My fiancé had the strip which was delectable, and the potato au gratin will wow you. I would have skipped the sides for dessert but we had no room. The Mac and cheese was too truffly and the cauliflower was a bit salty. Was too stuffed for dessert which I was disappointed about! A must go

(4)B L.
WOW!

(4)Phil H.
Came here with high expectations but left somewhat disappointed. Three if us had the filet; it was better than average but for the price it needs to be spectacular and it was not. A bit chewy and just not very flavorful. The mashed potatoes were good, but the highlight of the meal (unfortunately) was the tomato appetizer. The artichoke side was almost inedible. We had the creme brulée and a pear pie thing for desert; they were both coffee shop quality. The pacing of the service was just a bit slow, as twice we wondered when our server would come back. It's not that meal was bad, it's just wasn't good for the price. And by the way, a note to Disney; if you're going to have a stated dress code, that's fine; but stick to it. Business casual is not T-shirt, swim trunks and flip flops. I felt like I was wearing a tuxedo in a coffee shop. If you are not going to enforce the dress code, just get rid of it!
(2)Nickolas P.
In one word. Amazing. Everything you'd expect from a five star steakhouse. Steaks tender like butter. Amazing sides. More than holds its own against the likes of a Capital/Ruths/Mortons.
(5)Antony C.

(3)Gwin C.

(3)Bethany F.

(3)Julie S.
